The Reality of Fajr
Few people find it tough to wake up if there is a plane to catch the next morning, or a job meeting . This is for we are so eager to take that journey or get that job. Our eyes open with vigour when the alarm rings. Some people might awaken even before the alarm, due to their expectation.
The only motive this does not occur for Fajr is since we haven’t devoted the same importance to the Hereafter. Our wonder and sense of duty to Allah Most High might be punier than our wish for the ephemeral things around us.
As Allah said in Quran: “Those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, and establish regular prayers and regular charity they will have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.”
Surah al-Baqarah (Holy Quran, 2:277)
Angles of barkat
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) stated: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said. “There are angels who take turns in meeting you by night and by day. They all assemble at the dawn (Fajr) and the afternoon (`Asr) prayers. Those who have used up the night with you, ascend to the heaven. Their Lord asks: ‘In what situation did you leave My slaves?’ They reply: ‘We left them while they were executing Salat and we went to them while they were executing Salat.’” [Stated by Bukhari and Muslim]
According to above Hadith Allah sends His angles at Fajr and Asr time to see who is praying . If angles find us praying at these two time they tell Allah that while leaving and going back to these people they were performing Salah.
Allah, the Exalted, says in the Qur’an:
“So establish the Prayer after the declining of the sun (from its zenith, for Zuhr and then
Asr) to the dusk of night (Maghrib and thenIsha) and the (Qur’anic) recitation of Fajr. Indeed, the (Qur’anic) recitation of Fajr is witnessed.” [Quran 17:78]
According to above verse Allah is emphasising on recitation of Quran during Fajr .
