Review Of Dangal Movie:Top 10 Questions Every Girl Must Ask Herself After Watching Movie
Read, steady , wait, Dangal is further than a biopic!
So, the strong and courageous character of Mahavir Singh Phogat is everything that suits the definition of an ‘ideal’ father. Don’t misconceive, by this, I don’t mean that he allows his kids to be whatever they want to be.
Heroism at its pinnacle, Dangal is all what a desi soil smells like. A flawless storytelling that went on to open the book of success page by page saw a great amount of hard work done by the Phogat girls who went stronger with the length of the film as their character built.
Also, this movie leaves the female audience with many questions and also their answers by the end of the movie. Here they go!
Dangal Movie Review: 10 Questions Every Indian Girl Should Ask Herself After Watching It
Can I not be both a daughter and a son to my parents?
When Mahavir Singh Phogat gets failed by the fate, remains with four daughters to his name and no one to take his wrestling legacy forward, he discovers a possibility in his angels. His daughters more or so proved that even being daughters, it’s no big deal to play both the sexes and that too in a way that the world bows to them.
Should I welcome negative comments if I wear Pants and Tees?
One question that the film raises is- Can the clothes decide anything for anyone?
While the sports like Swimming, Gymnastics, Racket sports and Wrestling require its players to wear shorts to stay comfortable when playing, it is only the flaw in the eyes of the society that finds it wrong when girls wear short dresses.
Anything of that sort didn’t stop the Balali (Haryana) girls to stay away from the game and now no one dares to question their clothing.
Should I choose a career according to what society says?
Can a girl not wrestle? Girls already spend a life where every day is a struggle for them. So when it comes to choosing a career, how does it make sense not to let them wrestle?
Mahavir Singh Phogat fought the whole village and made sure that this thinking leaves no impact on his daughters and their career.
Answer- No way!
Will focusing on beauty really make me a beautiful person?
There comes a point in the movie when Geeta Phogat’s character loses its concentration from the game and this is the point where the question gets raised.
Beauty, in all its forms, should be free from any physical remark and to talk about an instance, I never search for Geeta Phogat on Google just to see how good she looks but to see how the champion’s smile looks like.
Should I forget what my parents did for me after leaving home?
During a scene, when Geeta (Zaira Wasim) leaves her home to join NSAI, she forgets the days when her father gave away his blood and sweat to raise a champion. This part of the movie was extremely strong on ‘hitting-the-emotions’ front.
The answer to this will be taught to you once you watch the movie!
Is there anything like behaving in a ‘girlish’ way?
A ‘Girlish’ way?
What does that even mean, if it means anything at all!
Girls are a whole different species, and that’s perfectly fine for them to behave in a different way. Even in a contact sport as brutal as Wrestling is, it does not matter if you are a girl or a boy, the techniques remain same and so is the case with everything else.
Will going to gym make me look manly?
Well, if a girl needs to stay strong feel good, to fight the evil, to stay healthy, even if it makes them look manly, it’s good. But, fortunately enough, it does not make them look so. God has given unique body type to both the sexes and no matter how much one trains, the appearance remains close to how it should look.
When being in same profession, is it bad that my sibling is better than me?
To connect to this one (the general one that applies on both the sexes), you must be having one of your siblings in the same profession as yours, working closely to where you do.
Now, of course, different people have different calibre and it should not at all matter if one is cruising ahead of the other in the walk of life. I know you couldn’t agree more!
Answer- Obvious NO!
Should I keep bearing the evil and never complain?
National Sports Academy, India was ‘exposed’ in the movie as one of the coaches that trained (he hardly did) Geeta faces the heat in almost every sequence. He changed the technique of Geeta’s game upside down and killed her chances of winning in the 55Kg category.
If not with her father’s help (Aamir’s character), winning was impossible for her. Geeta made the right choice- ”she heard everyone but followed just one, her father, the coach!”
How can I creatively change the attitude of a negative person in my life?
Now this is something personal. There are two ways to tackle negative people, one is to go totally against them, and the other is to try something creative to do the same (as was done by Geeta Phogat in the movie).
Having made a film out of this Haryanvi Champion family’s story, Nitesh Tiwari, the director, made one such creative move to expose why India does not win international medals!
Now this review will enhance your motivation regarding the concept that girls can do any thing if they want.
